FLEMING FRENCH TEAM STARS IN `TREK' SKIT

The Level B French team from William Fleming High School won the Best Award in Show for its "Star Trek" skit in the eighth annual Dionysia foreign-language competition, held recently at Virginia Western Community College.

There were two categories of competition, "Skits and Songs" and "Classroom Quiz." First- and second-year students competed in Level A in the category for their particular language of study, and third-, fourth- and fifth-year students competed in Level B.

Mary Jo Fassie was the instructor for the winning team from William Fleming, which performed the "Star Trek" skit. The students on the team were Beverly Able, Stephanie Allman, David Bell, Jeff Boyd, Angela Dalton, Ed Harper, Scott Harvey, Christy Hill, Anne Houston, Richard Hunt, Jerome Jackson, Patrick Lowe, Marcel Melki, Monica Moore, Monica Moses, Tracy Mulholland, Sharon Patterson, Wayne Pendleton, Margaret Rye, Jay Spenser and Louis Young.
