NEW RIVER PEOPLE IN BUSINESS,

JAMES D. McCOMAS, president of Virginia Tech, and ROBERT W. STOCKBURGER, a family practitioner in Blacksburg, have been elected to the Board of Trustees of Montgomery Regional Hospital.

Stockburger, who joined the medical staff of Montgomery Regional in 1977, was chief of the medical staff during the past year.

The trustees elected HAROLD D. HANKINS, retired president of Electro-Tec Corp., chairman of the board and ROBERT D. HOOVER, plant manager for Corning Inc., vice chairman.

\ MARILYN B. BUHYOFF has been named vice president for administration at the National Bank of Blacksburg. She joined the bank as personnel officer in 1987. Before that, she was in private law practice in Radford and Blacksburg.

\ ROBERT C. PISCURA, personal financial planner with IDS Financial Services Inc. in Pulaski, has earned Certified Financial Planner designation after completing course work and examinations.
