The two-act play will be performed in the Iroquois nightclub, where the company presented "Five of Us" as an experiment in March and was pleased both with attendance and the exposure to a new audience.
Miriam Frazier, artistic director, said "Baby With the Bathwater" is "a dark comedy about the effects of a dysfunctional family on the children." Among its characters is a nanny whom Frazier describes as "an insane version of Mary Poppins."
The play will be performed in the round.
Durang, who wrote the play, also is the author "Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All for You" and "The Vietnamization of New Jersey."
Performances will begin at 8 p.m. June 1-2 and 7-9. The performance on Sunday, June 3 will be a 2 p.m. matinee.
Tickets are $5. Reservations are recommended (344-9575).
Food and beverages will be sold before performances and during the intermissions. There will be live music after each performance.
The Iroquois is at 324 Salem Ave., S.W.
