KOLLMORGEN-VERNITRON FIGHT CONTINUES

In the continuing hostility between Vernitron Corp. and Kollmorgen Corp., owner of three Radford operations, Vernitron said it has planned the auction of Kollmorgen if it wins a proxy fight at that company's annual meeting on May 31. That meeting was postponed from May 24 by a Connecticut judge because of pending litigation.

Kollmorgen has been resisting Vernitron's offer of $15 a share for half of Kollmorgen shares, if Vernitron wins the proxy fight. Each company is suing the other.
