\ ABINGDON - Mrs. Erma D. Cox, age 83, died Saturday, May 26, 1990, at the Bristol Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Cox was a native of Wise County, Va. and a resident of Washington County for the past 62 years. She was a charter member of the Abingdon Bible Church and was formerly associated with the Cumbow China Shop. She was the widow of Walker B. Cox and was preceded in death by a son, James B. Cox. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Howard J. (Billie Jo) Little, Abingdon; one brother, Fred Hash, Baltimore, Md.; three sisters, Gladys Jernigan, Wise; Ruth Goad, Bulls Gap, Tenn.; Molly Vanschwertner, Baltimore, Md.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Farris Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Abingdon Bible Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 843, Abingdon, Va., 24210. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 at the Farris Funeral Home in Abingdon.
