Mary Louise Hare Blankenship, age 66, of Route 2, Narrows, died Monday morning, May 28, 1990 in the Roanoke Memorial Rehab. Center. She was born in Bland County, Va. on June 14, 1923 and was a daughter of the late Robert Ward and Dolly Mae Vaughn Hare. She was a member of the Church of Lord Jesus, Route 2, Narrows. Survivors include her husband, Arby Jackson Blankenship, Route 2, Narrows; three sons, Harold Blankenship, Ironto; Larry Blankenship and Kenneth Blankenship, both of Narrows; two daughters, Loretta Mae Martin, Pembroke, Va.; Doris E. Lindsey, Pearisburg; three brothers, Robert (Bob) Hare, Staffordsville, Va.; Kenneth Hare, Fredericksburg, Va.; Edd L. (Pete) Wilburn, Narrows; three sisters, Phyllis Bowers and Loraine Bowers, both of Baltimore, Md.; Mildred Blankenship, Narrows; fourteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Lord Jesus on Blankenship Mountain, Narrows, Va. with the Rev. David Butcher and Rev. Ray Woodyard, officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavenly View Cemetery, Route 2, Narrows. The family will receive friends, at Riffe's Funeral Service in Narrows, Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
