ARRINGTON, W. ELLIS\ GOODE - W. Ellis Arrington, age 71, of Route 1, died Monday, May 28, 1990, in the Bedford County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Bedford County on December 24, 1918, a son of the late Roland Eugene Arrington and Etta Jane Vaughn Arrington. He was retired from Rubatex Corporation and was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Wildred Wilkerson Arrington; three sons, Ellis C. Arrington, Cheyenne, Wy.; Kenneth O. Arrington, Bedford; Lynwood E. Arrington, Goode; one daughter, Barbara A. Gaddy, Goode; two brothers, Roy R. Arrington; Forest; Joseph R. Arrington, Bedford; four sisters, Janie E. Arrington, Polly A. Logwood, both of Bedford; Gertrude A. Pryor, Amelia; Perley A. Goolsby, Richmond; also eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 1, at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. N. C. Napier and the Rev. Eugene Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church Cemetery in Cifax. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Bedford Life Saving Crew.
