\ - Lewis E. Hicks, age 51, of Vinton, died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was a member of Clearbrook Baptist Church and was retired from Roanoke Electric Steel. Surviving are his wife, Trena Yeats Hicks; daughter, Charlotte Hicks of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Harold Dwayne and Tammy S. Hicks, Roanoke County; Edward Lynn and Debra K. Hicks, Roanoke; four grandchildren, Jessica; Bradley; Christopher; and Megan Hicks; five sisters, Esther Saunders of Princeton, W.Va.; Marcella Tiller of North Tazewell; Betty Stephenson; Patricia Goodpasture; and Janice English all of Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 1990, with the Rev. Orlander M. English officiating. Burial will be in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens.
