A Pennsylvania court has denied Bell of Pennsylvania the right to install
telephone devices that flash the numbers of incoming callers, saying the
feature invades privacy and violates wiretap laws. Caller ID lets people know
who is calling before they pick up the receiver. The caller's number flashes
on a small device attached to the telephone.
