The acrobats - and the Bits 'N Pieces Puppet Theatre troupe - will appear in Victory Stadium. Other events will be in Elmwood Park and its environs. Jane Powell, the Roanoke rhythm and blues queen, will sing at the park tonight.
1964 as the Beatles will take the stage Saturday night at 9 and will be followed by a laser light show.
By the way, the Virginia Museum of Transportation on Norfolk Avenue will offer entertainment Saturday and Sunday afternoon from 1 to 3, with free shuttle service from Elmwood Park.

AT THE KILN: Lime Kiln Arts near Lexington is presenting the Ukulele Vaudeville Revue through Saturday night. It's billed as a fast-paced evening that will amuse and entertain young and old with music, clowning, juggling, comedy dance and audience participation.
On Sunday night at 8, blues singer John Hammond will do his thing. The Bruce Lewis Trio, a jazz outfit from Lexington, Ky., will perform, too. Tickets are $12.
Wednesday night at 8, Mary-Chapin Carpenter will perform on the lawn. She was named best new female vocalist at this year's Country Music Awards. Tickets are $14.

SWEET SOUNDS: The Alleghany Highlands Chorale will present its spring concert Sunday afternoon at 3 at First Presbyterian Church in Covington. Kathryn Crutchfield directs. William McCorkle will accompany the singers.
The program will include Mozart's "Regina Coeli," Carl Mueller's "Create in Me a Clean Heart, O God," and J.S. Bach's "Sheep May Safely Graze," plus a medley from Broadway's "Phantom of the Opera."

ACT II: The Acting Company of Roanoke Valley will bring another production, the comedy "Baby with the Bathwater," to the Iroquois Club in Roanoke tonight and Saturday night at 8 and Sunday afternoon at 2. The play will be repeated Thursday and June 8 and 9 at 8 p.m.
