SKATEBOARDERS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN

I HAVE GONE skateboarding in Roanoke many times. Often when we are skating, policemen will come and tell us to leave although we aren't hurting anybody.

I admit that not all skaters are as responsible as others. It seems unfair that a few irresponsible skaters should ruin the fun for the rest.

I wrote this letter to try to change people's opinions. Remember, next time you see a skater, don't think of him as just another punk skater, but as a kid out having fun. JESSEE MUSSELWHITE ROCKY MOUNT
