\ Clara Mitchell Sublett, age 66, of Vinton, died Thursday, May 31, 1990. Mrs. Sublett was a member of the Vinton Baptist Church and a member of the Vinton Chapter #136 Order of the Eastern Star. She retired from the Roanoke County School System, where she taught Drivers Education for 22 years. She is survived by her husband, Wayne M. Sublett, Vinton; one brother, Jesse Mitchell, Rocky Mount; two sisters, Ola Hogan, Elizabeth Ayers, both of Roanoke; a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 4, 1990 at 11:00 a.m. at the Vinton Baptist Church with Dr. William Ross and Rev. Charlie Brannon officiating. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery in Vinton. There will be an Order of the Eastern Star prayer service at the funeral home Sunday evening at 7:00. The family will receive friends at the Lotz Vinton Chapel after 1:00 p.m Saturday or at the residence of her sister, Ola Hogan, Roanoke.
