\ William Thomas Wade, Sr., age 73, of Roanoke, passed away May 31, 1990, at a local hospital. He was retired from the V.A. Medical Center, Salem, with 33 years service and was also retired from Roanoke County Schools with 10 years service. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mamie Wade Green. He is survived by his wife, Helen F. Wade; his sons and daughters-in-law, William T. and Patricia A. Wade, Jr., Roger Lee and Lilly G. Wade, Sr., Charles E. and Vanessa C. Wade; two grandsons; three granddaughters. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem, with the Rev. Roger Griffith officiating. Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. Saturday.
