MIDDLEMAN-COCHRANE

Lynn Scott Cochrane and Louis Isaac Middleman were married May 19 at the Martha Washington Inn in Abingdon. The Rev. Sam S. McPhail of Price's Fork officiated.

The bride is a daughter of Dorothy J. Cochrane of Davidson, N.C., and the late Ralph P. Cochrane. Administrative services librarian at Virginia Tech's Newman Library, she graduated from the University of North Carolina and received her master's degree in library science from Catholic University. The groom is a son of Selma R. Middleman of Pittsburgh and the late Morris Middleman. A graduate of Carnegie-Mellon University, he earned his doctorate in English from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a research associate for Management Systems Laboratories at Virginia Tech.

The bride was attended by her son, Will McAuley of Blacksburg. Geoffrey Chapman of Blacksburg was best man. The couple will make their home in Blacksburg.
