QUILTERS' GROUP PLANS PROJECT

The Virginia Quilt Project, sponsored by the Virginia Consortium of Quilters, will hold a Quilt Documentation Day in Lexington Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lejune Hall, V.M.I.

The purpose of the quilt project is to discover the history of quilts and quilters in Virginia from colonial times through 1976. Quilts constructed during that period elsewhere but now owned by Virginians are also of interest for the historical research project. Owners of such quilts are invited to bring their quilts to be photographed and documented. Volunteers are needed to assist with the project.
