OBIT--SOWDER, E.

SOWDER, EMMA M.\ Emma Mitchell Sowder, age 90, of Roanoke, died Friday in a local hospital. She is the widow of James A. Sowder, Sr., and a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church. She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Geneva M. and Richard F. Seaman, Roanoke; Shirley Dolores and Carl E. Johnson, Atlanta, Ga.; Martha Ann Sowder, Roanoke; a son and daughter-in-law, James A. Sowder, Jr., and Coretta Sowder; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Eugene E. Mitchell. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 4, 1990, at Oakey's North Chapel with the Rev. David A. Kirk officiating. Interment to follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Oakey's North Chapel.
