PARDONED MAN FOUND WITH CONCEALED GUN

A man pardoned by Gov. Douglas Wilder two months ago after serving three years in prison for a murder he did not commit has been arrested on a charge of carrying a concealed weapon.

Russell Leon Gray, 24, was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday after being stopped by a police officer while driving in south Richmond. It was not immediately known why police stopped Gray.

Police said they found a .357-caliber revolver under Gray's car seat.

Police also charged his companion, a woman, with carrying a .22-caliber pistol under her seat. She was released on a summons to appear in court.
