Mrs. Ethel Dickerson Swain, age 91, of 2128 Lynnhope Drive, N.W., passed away Sunday. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Croan, Mrs. Gladiola Walthall, and Mrs. Vashti M. Hunter, all of Roanoke; three sons, James P. Swain, Bedford; Giles E. Swain, Hardy; Jimmie Lee Swain, Roanoke; sister-in-law, Mrs. Evie Pinkard, Rocky Mount; two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Alice Swain, Bedford; Mrs. Katie Swain, Hardy; 48 grandchildren; 73 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
