WHITESIDE, NANNIE M.\ Mrs. Nannie Mae Whiteside, age 83, died Saturday, June 9, 1990, at the Medical Care Center in Lynchburg. She was the widow of John Frank Whiteside, Sr. She was born February 25, 1907, in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Peter and Ollie Camper Whiteside. She was a member of the Broad Creek A.R. Presbyterian Church at Natural Bridge and attended Temple Baptist Church in Madison Heights. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carrie Ruth Kyser. She is survived by one son, John F. Whiteside, Jr., Petersburg; two daughters, Mrs. Stanley (Rachel) Campbell, Madison Heights; Mrs. Claude (Irene) Lynn, Dayton, Ohio; one brother, Carlton Whiteside, Natural Bridge; one sister, Mrs. W.H. (Elizabeth) Gladwell, Clifton Forge; five grandchildren, Rebecca Transou, Rachel C. Hudson, both of Lynchburg; Janet Campbell, Madison Heights; Sondra L. Kaiser, Nelsonville, Ohio; A1C David C. Lynn, Tacoma, Wash.; one great-grandson, Travis N. Transou, Lynchburg. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Temple Baptist Church in Madison Heights with the Rev. Charles M. Esterline officiating. Burial will follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens in Lexington. The family will receive friends at Temple Baptist Church from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Temple Baptist Church Building Fund. Arrangements by Driscoll Funeral Chapel, Amherst, Va.
