Mrs. Essie Lowry, age 78, of 107 12 1/2 Street, S.W., passed away Saturday. She was the widow of Frank S. Lowry. Survivors include one daughter, Ms. Virginia Johnson, Roanoke; four sisters, Mrs. Alma Parker, Roanoke; Mrs. Paige Everett, Salem; Mrs. Beulah Brown, Huntington, W.Va.; Mrs. Madeline Brown, Lynchburg; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Martha Joplin, Lynchburg; one brother-in-law, Willie Parker, Roanoke; three grandsons, Antwyne Johnson, Houston, Texas; Orlando Johnson, Virginia Beach, Va.; De Wayne Johnson, Roanoke; one granddaughter, Ms. Kenya Johnson, Roanoke; a host of other relatives and friends.
