OBIT HANKINS, M.

Margaret Ann (Peggy) Hankins, age 53, died Saturday, June 9, at Norton Community Hospital. She received her B.A. Degree at Mary Baldwin College and the Master of Arts Degree from the University of Georgia. She had been a resident of Richmond, Va. since 1960. After serving the Presbyterian Board of Education in Curriculum Design, She joined the staff of the Registration and Records Department of Virginia Commonwealth University in 1975. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Dorothy Hankins Stump; her brother, Dr. Walter H. Hankins, Jr., both of Wise, Va.; and by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Norton Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Paul Henschen, officiating. Burial will be in the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. today at the Hagy Funeral Home in Norton. Memorial services will be held in Richmond at a later date to be announced.
