OBIT HUGHES, A.

Alan Dale Hughes, age 37, of Catawba, died Monday at his home. He was employed by the Hercules Ammunition Plant. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William B. Hughes, Catawba; two brothers, David Hughes, Hagerstown, Md.; Wayne Hughes, Catawba; two sisters, Linda Quesenberry, Blacksburg; Shirley Campbell, Natural Bridge; two aunts, Ethel Alls, Catawba; Sue Taylor, Roanoke. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 13, at 1:00 p.m. at the Lotz Salem Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Collins officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Lotz Salem Chapel.
