Cecil Liggon Luckado, Jr., age 42, of Roanoke died Monday, June 11, 1990 at his home. He was a graduate of Cave Spring High School in 1965; an Honor Graduate receiving the first Con Davis Scholarship awarded at Cave Spring High School. He also graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1969. He was an Electrical Engineer for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He later returned to live in Roanoke in 1985. He was a writer, a poet, and a Christian. He is survived by two children, Jesse Luckado and Sheryl Luckado; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil L. Luckado, Sr.; one brother, Neal Luckado; four sisters, Miss Neysa Luckado; Mrs. Tressa Edwards and Mrs. Denna Griffith, all of Roanoke; Mrs. Kala Hearld, of Neptune Beach, Fla. Funeral services will be held Thursday, at the New Life Temple Pentecostal Holiness Church, 5745 Airport Road, Roanoke, with the Rev. Walter Wood, officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Lotz, Salem Chapel after 12:00 noon on Wednesday.
