Ernestine Hundley Jenkins, age 52, of the Blackberry community of Bassett, died Wednesday in Memorial Hospital, Martinsville. She was born in Henry County on November 10, 1937, a daughter of the late Arthur W. Hundley and Geneva Gillespie Hundley, of Bassett. She was a member of Blackberry Baptist Church. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Vaughn Jenkins; 4 sons, Bradley Craig, Axton; Victor Craig, Ocala, Fla.; David Craig, Eden, N.C.; Timothy Craig, Bassett; two stepsons; a stepdaughter; two sisters, Mrs. James (Geraldine) Purdy, Bassett; Mrs. Dean (Jackie) Shumate, Havana, Fla.; a brother, Frank W. Hundley, Bassett; five grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday in Blackberry Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.
