HILL ANNIVERSARY

Thomas W. and Thelma L. Hill of Vinton have celebrated 50 years of marriage. They were married June 11, 1940, in Rock Hill, S.C.

Mr. Hill, a native of Randolph County, N.C., retired as a department manager from Burlington Industries with 45 years of service. He is a member of the Fiddle & Banjo Club and former president of the Vinton Lion's Club, Vinton Chamber of Commerce and the Roanoke Valley Region of the Antique Automobile Club.

Mrs. Hill, the former Thelma Staley of Archdale, N.C., is a homemaker.

The Hills are members of Thrasher Memorial United Methodist Church. They have two children and three grandchildren.
