D-DAY ANNIVERSARY NEGLECTED BY PAPER

I WAS SHOCKED and disappointed when I read my morning paper June 6 and found nothing about D-Day, other than the commentary by Bob Slaughter.

How could this day be overlooked when so many young men, especially from this area, gave their lives for the glory and honor they fought for and believed in?

Wake up, Roanoke Times & World-News. After all, had these men not been there, you may not have been here today.
