\ FLOYD - John Newton Phlegar, age 85, died Monday in a Roanoke hospital. Surviving are one sister, Sarah Phlegar, Floyd; two nieces, Joan Houck, Berryville; Patricia DeHart, Bassett. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard A. Giessler officiating. Burial will be in Jacksonville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Maberry Funeral Home.
