Joann Francis will manage the store, which will employ about 150 people. Montgomery Ward acquired the mall location from Miller & Rhoads in January.
The store will be laid out in a series of specialty shops featuring brand and private-label merchandise. Some of the specialty categories are electric avenue, home ideas, apparel, children's store and "gold 'n gems." Auto express will open in the fall.
The store also will house "doctoronics," an appliance and electronics repair center that will service all brands. The manager's office will be in a central service center along with credit and gift-wrap functions.
