A Norfolk Southern subsidiary has opened a terminal at Dalton, Ga., to provide rail-highway freight service to six markets in the Northeast and Midwest. Drivers will pick up trailers within 150 miles of Dalton and put them on the rail for Buffalo, Cleveland, Detroit, Fort Wayne, Kansas City or St. Louis, the company said. The trailers are to be delivered to industries within 150 miles of these six markets within two days.
