BIG LOTS TO MOVE ITS VINTON STORE

Kent Larsson, the Ohio company's vice president for sales promotion, said the new Vinton Big Lots will open July 11 in space formerly occupied by Kroger.

Larsson said the Lake Drive Plaza site contains 26,650 square feet, about 1,500 square feet more than the present location, but the main reason for the move is to take advantage of the traffic on Hardy Road and at the shopping center.

The chain, based in Columbus, Ohio, has 335 locations. Others in the Roanoke Valley are on Peters Creek Road and at Oak Grove Plaza. Big Lots also has stores in Christiansburg, Martinsville, Danville and Wytheville. - Staff report
