BRISTOL DOCTOR NAMED SURGEON CHAPTER HEAD

Dr. Frank S. Blanton Jr. has been elected president of the Virginia chapter of the American College of Surgeons, the largest medical specialty society in the nation with more than 25,000 members.

Blanton is a surgeon at Bristol Regional Medical Center, where he has been on the board of directors and served two terms as chief of staff.
