CLINCH VALLEY COLLEGE PLANS ESSAY CONTEST

Freshmen entering Clinch Valley College in the fall are invited to compete for a $500 scholarship in an essay contest sponsored by the college's alumni association.

Its topic is "Clinch Valley College: the Best Choice for Me." Entries should be 500 or more words. Judges will consider composition skills, originality and creativity.

The entry deadline is July 30. Each entry must have a cover sheet with the name of the contestant and the high school attended. It should be sent to the CVC Alumni Office, College Avenue, Wise, Va. 24293. Further information is available by telephoning 328-0128. - Southwest bureau
