\ PAM BERG, president of Pam Berg Consultants Inc., a Roanoke public relations firm, has been admitted to the Counselors Academy of the Public Relations Society of America.
\ DILLARD PAPER CO. has announced the Roanoke winners of its 1989 Chairman's Council and its President's Council. John Gilliam and Dallas Peoples were named to the Chairman's Council, a group of salesmen who produce an annual gross profit above the minimum requirement set by the company chairman.
David Bousman, Dick Oliver, and Allen Jones were named to the President's Council, which recognizes the top sales producers in each Dillard sales region.
\ AVIS CONSTRUCTION CO. INC. of Roanoke has been selected as a high performance builder by the buildings division of Butler Manufacturing Co. The award recognizes Avis' outstanding market penetration. Avis sells and constructs Butler Pre-Engineered Building Systems.
\ BRENDA A. JAMISON of Roanoke has been selected for inclusion in the 1990 International Edition of Who's Who in Interior Design. She was cited for her contributions to the interior design profession and her civic efforts. Jamison is affiliated with Stedman House Inc., the Roanoke County School System, and the American Society of Interior Designers.
\ JOHNNIE C. BRAKE, general agent for Kansas City Life Insurance Co. in Roanoke, qualified for the company's 1990 Special Top Hatters conference. Brake was one of 28 qualifiers from more than 2,500 agents.
\ FREDERICK K. SHAFTMAN has been honored as the 1990 Business Associate of the Year by the Shenandoah chapter of the American Business Women's Association. Shaftman is president and chief executive officer of BellSouth Communication Systems in Roanoke. Business associates are chosen because of their care and concern for fellow employees as well as their community involvement.
