Omnia Bona, meaning "for all good," originated in Roanoke in 1948 as a group of senior girls at Lucy Addison High School who wanted to provide wholesome activities for members and their friends. The group disbanded after graduation, since most of the members were headed for college, but reorganized in 1952.
The organization has grown to nine chapters. Five members of the original group are active members of the Roanoke chapter.
