Thomas E. Edwards, Sr., age 69, died June 20, 1990, at the VA Hospital in Salem. The son of the late T. Leo Edwards and Virgie Jennelle Edwards. A life time resident of Roanoke City and a member of the H.H. Mackinzie Chapter 3 of the DAV, and American Legion Post #3. Having served with the U.S. 15th Air Force in World War II. Surviving are his wife, Martha Inman Edwards; son and daughter-in-law, T. Earl, Jr. and Debra Jones Edwards; son, Leo Wesley Edwards; a (little Angel) granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Edwards, all of Roanoke; one sister, Virginia E. Jones, Norfolk; one brother and sister-in-law, William J. and Syliva C. Edwards, Richmond. Graveside services will be held at Sherwood Cemetery, 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 22, 1990. Military services will be conducted by the Mackinzie Chapter of the DAV. The body will rest at Lotz Funeral Home, Roanoke until time of burial. Donations may be made to The Safety Council of Southwest Virginia, 2728 Colonial Ave., Room 101, Roanoke, Va. 24015.
