MANY FROM ST. PETER'S WERE AT SYNOD

St. Peter's Anglican Church in Christiansburg was represented at the 13th synod of the Anglican Catholic Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic States in Lynchburg June 14-16.

John Cunningham, Otis S. Johnson, Philip K. Williams and the Rev. Harry B. Scott attended.

Committee reports covered the work of the church in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Washington and eastern Tennessee.

Elected or appointed to diocesan positions from St. Peter's were: Clayton Williams, executive committee; John Cunningham, constitution and canons; Philip Williams, youth commission, and Scott, commission on holy orders and constitution and canons. Otis Johnson was chairman of the resolutions committee for the synod.

The diocesan choir, which led music for worship at the synod, was directed by Sheila Scott and included Marnie Slayton and Seth Williamson, members of the St. Peter's choir.
