Christine Jebram Spahr, age 88, formerly of Red Wing, Minn., died Wednesday, June 20, 1990, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was a graduate of the American College of Physical Education in Chicago and taught in public schools in Hemphill and Bluefield, W. Va., and in Pulaski and Blacksburg, Va. She was a life member of the Southside Garden Club, a past member of the Blacksburg Women's Club, and a devoted member of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joel Bush Spahr. Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Janet Elise Spahr of Blacksburg; and Sandra and Lloyd Jennings of Richmond; nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Luther Memorial Lutheran Church with the Rev. Gary Schroeder officiating. Friends may call at the home, 1602 Harding Ave., from 2:30 until 4:00 p.m. and between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. on Friday.
