Frances McDaniel Hedge, age 57, of Salem died Saturday in a Salem hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, Glenn Hedge; parents, Roy and Rosa McDaniel; one sister, Margaret Bohon; and three brothers, Doug McDaniel, Lawrence Green, and Eugene McDaniel. Surviving are two brothers, V.O. McDaniel and Herman McDaniel, both of Roanoke; two sisters, Lorene McDaniel, Salem; Doradene Brooks, Alabama; several stepchildren including Bobby and wife, Cathy Hedge, Roanoke; several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Mrs. Ruth Stump of Salem. Graveside services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Lawrence Broughman officiating. Funeral arrangements are by the John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home, Salem.
