OBIT EPPERLEY, E.

Essie Mae Epperley, age 89, died at her home Thursday night. A native of Pulaski County, she was the daughter of the late James E. and Joanna Odell Trail. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Epperley; one daughter, Elizabeth E. Hedge, Norfolk; four sons, Raymond Epperley, Newport; Luther Epperley and Edgar Epperley, both of Blacksburg; Kenneth Epperley, Kernersville, N.C.; one brother, Claude Trail, Pulaski; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the Williams-Jamison-Kendall Funeral Chapel, Pembroke, with the Rev. Dewey O. Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memory Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 7:00 to 9:00.
