HENRY STREET FEST SEEKS VENDORS

Vendors are being sought for the Henry Street Heritage Festival, a celebration to showcase African-American culture Sept. 29. Henry Street (First Street Northwest) was chosen as the festival site because it once was the business, professional and cultural district of Roanoke's black community.

The festival, organized by the Harrison Museum of African American Culture, will be held 10 a.m.-7 p.m. It will feature music, drama, dance, folklore, visual arts and children's activities, as well as ethnic and traditional foods.

Vendors specializing in African and traditional African-American foods are especially urged to join the celebration, but vendors of all types of food are welcome. Booths will cost a flat rate of $75, and electrical outlets will be available on a limited basis.

For more information, call or write Mac McCadden, vendor chairman, 325 Noble Ave. N.E., Roanoke, Va. 24012, 992-0234.
