SPENCER, MARY J.\
Mary Frances J. Spencer, of 320 Hershberger Road, N.W., and formerly of Aiken,
S.C., died Thursday June 28, 1990 in a local hospital. She was a member of
Grace United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Melvin Buford
Spencer; one son and daughter-in-law, James Melvin and Barbara Spencer,
Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters, Effie Womack, and Pauline Lucas, both of Roanoke;
one brother and sister-in-law, David and Juanita Jones, Akron, Ohio; two
sisters-in-law, Mrs. Cleta Turbow, Jacksonville, Fla; and Mrs. Ersie (J.M.)
Hurd, Bassett. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel on
Saturday, June 30, 1990 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Nolan R. Crowder
officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at
Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00
p.m. Friday.
