\ FAIRFIELD - Whitmore Stuart Deacon, age 54, died Wednesday, June 27, 1990 at his residence. Mr. Deacon was born April 25, 1936 in Rockbridge County and was the son of Lydia Marie Smith Deacon and the late Douglas W. Deacon. He was a member of the Timber Ridge (Old Stone) Presbyterian Church and was employed with Burlington Industries for 27 years. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Brenda Hartless Deacon; one daughter, Bridgett Leigh Deacon, Fairfield; five sons, Ricky Stuart Deacon, Douglas Steele Deacon, Eugene Odell Deacon, Donald Whitmore Deacon, Devin Scott Deacon, all of Fairfield; three sisters, Hilda D. Dudley, Bessie D. Dudley, Helen Ann Smith, all of Lexington; five brothers, Kenton Deacon, Buchanan; Wade Deacon, Lexington; Ray Deacon, Goshen; Carl Deacon, Raphine; Hunter Deacon, Lexington; two grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 noon Saturday, June 30, 1990 at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dennis M. Lohr officiating. Burial will follow in the McElwee Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Harrison Funeral Home Chapel, Lexington.
