The program will look at local efforts to restore the building and place it on the National Register of Historic Places.
Completed in 1838, Arnheim, which is German for "Eagle's Nest," was the centerpiece for the family's 1,000-acre homestead. Mistaken as a Confederate headquarters, Arnheim was shelled by Union forces in the Civil War. The house remained in the Radford family until the 1930s, when it was given to the city.
The program features a number of guests, video footage of Arnheim and interviews with family residents.
The program airs on Tuesdays at 5 p.m., Wednesdays at noon, Thursdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 6 p.m. on Channel 9 (formerly Channel 28). Contact Doloris Vest Allen at 831-5324 for more details.
