\ BLACKSBURG - Charlie Coleman Grindstaff died Thursday, June 28, 1990, at 4:30 p.m. at Montgomery Regional Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Laura Sue Clamon Grindstaff; his daughter, Margaret Ann Grindstaff Brown of Blacksburg; grandchildren and grandsons-in-law, Sheridan and Duane Matthiesen of Lexington, Mass.; Karen and Ted Debord of Blacksburg; Michael Gordon Brown of Virginia Beach; great-grandchildren, Tony Hume of Lexington, Mass.; Katie and Garrett Brown of Virginia Beach; Whitney and Shawn Debord of Blacksburg. Mr. Grindstaff was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 207 A.F. & A.M. in Orlando, Fla., also an active member of the Orlando United Methodist Church where he served as an usher for thirty-nine years. The Grindstaff moved to Orlando from Kingsport, Tenn. in 1948. They have resided at Warm Hearth Village since May 1987. The Revs. Jack Minnick and Gene Chaffin will officiate. A Masonic graveside service by Hunter's Lodge No. 156 A.F. & A.M. will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hoy-McCoy Funeral Home.
