Keith Hardy of the 800 block of Hunt Avenue Northwest was treated and released from Community Hospital of the Roanoke Valley Thursday night for a stab wound in the middle of his back.
Police said that Hardy was stabbed in a residence on the 1800 block of 10th Street N.W. about 9 p.m. Thursday. Hardy and the 12-year-old boy had argued earlier in the day, and the 12-year-old's mother had accompanied him to the 10th Street residence to talk to Hardy, police said.
While the boy's mother and Hardy talked, Hardy was stabbed in the back, authorities said.
