APCO FUEL FACTOR HEARING JULY 23
The State Corporation Commission has scheduled a hearing for July 23 on
Appalachian Power Co.'s proposed reduction of its fuel factor. The hearing, at
10 a.m. in the Jefferson Building in Richmond concerns the utility's request
to reduce the charge it passes along to customers based on its cost of fuel to
generate electricity. The cut would save Apco's average residential customer
46 cents a month. Apco has asked that the decrease be effective Aug. 28.
People wishing to comment on the reduction should appear at 9:45 a.m. at the
SCC's 13th floor courtroom, the agency said.
Another SCC hearing, on Apco's request for $43.3 million in annual
operating revenue, has been scheduled for Sept. 13 in Richmond.
