BOTETOURT HAS NO JUSTICE FOR BLACKS

HAVE THINGS really changed for AFro-Americans in all states since the civil-rights struggle, the death of Dr. King and the murder of Emmett Till in Mississippi for whistling at a white woman?

As the years pass, there is even more awful evidence of man's apparently infinite capactiy for stupidity and murder. We as black Afro-Americans remain optimists; we believe it possible to have our country and have justice.

Those of us who still believe this have never been to Botetourt County and we have never had any dealing with its legal system. It rings clear the message: "Just us, white America." Don't criticize Mississippi until you have cleaned your own doorsteps.
