Lindsay Edward Holland, age 75, of Montvale, died Saturday morning in a local hospital. He was a member of the Walnut Grove Baptist Church. He retired from the C & P Telephone Company in 1973 after 33 years of service, having worked in the Alexandria area most of that time. He was a former member of the Isaac Walton League and the Alexandria Lifesaving Crew. He served on the board of directors of the Montvale Water Company. Surviving are his wife, Bertha Craft Holland; a brother, Harvey Holland, Montvale; sister, Dorothy Lawhorn, Roanoke; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from the Walnut Grove Union Church at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 2, 1990, with the Rev. Dewey Page officiating. Burial will be in the Montvale Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
