CAN'T WILDER GIVE UNDIVIDED ATTENTION?

WOULD SOMEONE please tell me what Douglas Wilder was doing in Iowa and New Hampshire? Surely he could spare the state of Virginia six months of his undivided attention to the monumental problems he so eloquently enumerated during his gubernatorial campaign, before traipsing off to interview for his next job.

He apparently believes that if Virginians are stupid enough to elect him, we must also be blind to his blatantly self-serving activities. Obviously, this man has a serious attention-span problem, among others. We need a governor dedicated to serving the great commonwealth of Virginia. If I had supported his election, which I did not, I would consider his behavior of late a slap in the face. JEAN WINGO ROANOKE
