Jennifer Phillips, 15, of Vienna, Va., missing since early Tuesday morning, stepped onto a road just as Mike and Ruby Hill and their children were driving home from Olallie Lake, north of Mount Jefferson.
"She just walked out of the brush," Hill said, "and she walked out at the right time."
Hill brought the missing girl to searchers who had been looking for her since Tuesday evening.
Phillips was taken to the Santiam Memorial Hospital in Stayton and treated for her injuries - a few mosquito bites and some blisters. She was in good condition and was released from the hospital at 3:30 p.m., a hospital spokeswoman said.
The girl was reunited earlier with her parents, Robert and Lucina Phillips, who flew to Oregon after their daughter was reported missing.
Phillips was among 58 teen-agers brought to Oregon as part of an annual Youth Leadership Camp sponsored by the National Association of the Deaf of Silver Spring, Md.
The girl told reporters Wednesday afternoon that she walked away from the campsite to go to the bathroom Tuesday morning and could not find her way back.
